If your company is in the
business of sales or service, any day you are unable to
speak with your customers is a disaster.
Whether a lightening
strike, a snow day or something more serious, it doesn't
mean your company needs to go dark.
AltiGen
has numerous ways to prepare a practical and cost
effective disaster recovery plan:
- Redundant Hard
Drives AltiGen provides the option of a back
up drive in the phone system. All voice mail and
configuration information can be mapped to the spare
drive so you don't skip a beat in the event of a
failure.
- Nightly Back
Up AltiGen includes a backup utility.
Complete data (including voice mail) is backed up to
another network drive just as you would financial or
customer database information. If someone drove
through the wall and ran over your AltiGen system, the
back up could be restored to a new system for a
complete recovery.
- Extension
Anywhere What happens if your office is open,
but employees aren't able to drive there? With
Extension Anywhere, employees call the AltiGen system
and activate the phone in their home, cell phone, etc.
as their office extension. Call transfer,
conferencing, and even call detail reporting and
recording are retained.
- Voice over IP
Telephones AltiGen's Voice over IP
telephone and "soft phone" can be used at the
employee's home if they have a quality high speed
internet connection. The employee logs in the phone,
and the AltiGen system automatically reroutes the call
to the Voice over IP phone with full transparency.
- Call
Redirection If your company has more than one
location, calls can be redirected using Voice over IP
to another location. The customer calls their local
number, and when an employee answers in another
location they still receive the customer's caller ID
information.
